How it works
Sell it yourself. Not without a plan.
Selling your own home means you manage the listing, inspections and negotiations. Sell My Own provides the platform, & your solicitor or conveyancer handles the legal work.
- 01
Prepare & price
Gather your property details, photos and a realistic price guide. Compare recent local sales and speak with a conveyancer about the documents your state requires.
- 02
Choose your selling method
Pick a selling method, add-ons, and pay the platform fee. We will then check the listing before publicising.
- 03
Inspect & negotiate
Buyers contact you directly to arrange inspections, answer questions, and negotiate the price and conditions. You decide which offer to accept.
- 04
Contract & settle
Your solicitor or conveyancer prepares the contract and handles the legal work. Sell My Own never holds your deposit or sale proceeds.
A few straight answers
Questions before you start?
What does the platform fee include?
The $99 fee covers platform access and selling methods. Portal listings, signage, photography, floorplans and brochures are separate add-ons. All prices shown include GST.
Does payment make my listing live immediately?
No. Publication requires confirmed payment and moderation. We will then check the listing for authenticity and push the listing live.
Who shows buyers through my home?
You organise inspections, show buyers through and answer their questions. You also negotiate offers directly and decide whether to accept them.
Do I still need a solicitor or conveyancer?
Yes. Get advice on the documents, disclosures and contract requirements in your state. Your solicitor or conveyancer handles the legal work and settlement.
Who holds the deposit and sale proceeds?
Sell My Own never holds deposits or sale proceeds. Ask your solicitor or conveyancer to arrange the appropriate payment and settlement process.
